POWER NETWORKING WEEKEND

This event is exclusively for Chiefs, Councillors and Development Corporation CEO’s/CFO’s/EDO’s from First Nations, and Senior Executives from industry!

Join our host, Chief Clarence Louie, for a weekend of unique networking opportunities at the spectacular Spirit Ridge Resort and Spa by Hyatt on the Osoyoos Indian Band Reserve in British Columbia.

The NATIONAL ABORIGINAL BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES CONFERENCE (NABOC) Series is in its 16th year and has developed an enormous following from both industry and Indigenous Business Groups.

NABOC events always attract Key Decision Makers from industry and Aboriginal communities Canada wide.

At our Power Networking Weekend, we don’t have any plenary sessions, it’s just 2½ days of getting to know each other, lunches at 2 spectacular wineries, great live entertainment, and some fun optional activities such as golf, hiking, wine tours, trail ride, go-kart racing and paintball.

For First Nations, registration for this event is limited to Chiefs, Councillors, CEO/CAOs, Band Managers, Dev Corp Board Members and EDOs.

For Industry delegates, registration for this event is limited to Senior Executives who are “key decision makers” within their companies.

The Format of the 2024 NABOC Osoyoos Power Networking Weekend is as follows:

MAY 31st

Our Power Networking Weekend starts with a Welcome Reception from 6pm – 9pm in the NK’MIP Conference Centre. Enjoy some delicious food and wine as well as great live entertainment.

June 1st

Day 1 starts with doors opening and breakfast being served from 7:30am in the conference centre and from there delegates who’ve signed up for the golf tournament will meet at the Sonora Dunes Pro-Shop at 8:30am. Non-golfers have a choice of activities such as a trail ride, boat tour, paintball competition, guided desert hike, go-kart racing or you can spend time networking in the conference centre from 9:30am – Noon.

At Noon the group will split in half and a gourmet lunch with wine pairings will be served for each group at either the famous Sonora Room Restaurant at the Burrowing Owl Estate Winery or The Restaurant at the spectacular Tinhorn Creek Winery.

From 2:30pm – 4:30pm we will reconvene in the NK’MIP conference centre for more networking time.

At 6pm we’ll start our banquet dinner in the conference centre with an open mic session focused on “Lessons Learned in Business and Leadership” as well as some fantastic live entertainment.

June 2nd

Day 2 starts with doors opening and breakfast being served from 9:00am-10:00am and then delegates will spend the rest of the morning networking and having one-on-one meetings.

At Noon the lunch groups from Day 1 will switch and another gourmet lunch with wine pairings will be served for everyone at either the famous Sonora Room Restaurant at the Burrowing Owl Estate Winery or The Restaurant at the spectacular Tinhorn Creek Winery.

After lunch our local tour guides will take delegates to the District Wine Village for tastings and an opportunity to purchase some world class wines.

The wine tour will end at 4pm and delegates can either travel home that evening or stay another night and join us for a hospitality event with live entertainment at the NK’MIP Cultural Centre from 6pm-9pm.

This is the 4th year of this truly special and unique networking opportunity for the 100 business leaders who are invited to attend!
